Day Spa Infrared Sauna

An infrared sauna is a particular type of sauna that relaxes and detoxifies the body using heat and infrared light.

Infrared light uniquely allows heat to be delivered directly to the body (as opposed to just heating the room), warming muscles and joints and providing many health benefits.

Benefits of Infrared Sauna

The calming effects of the Infrared Sauna will provide you with better, deeper sleep at night.

Detox yourself from unwanted toxins to see remarkable health benefits. Our Infrared Saunas release on average 7 to 10 times more toxins then you would at a traditional sauna.

Benefits of Infrared Sauna

Support Immune System Function

According to the Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology, exposure of the body to high temperatures (hyperthermia) gives the immune cells a better ability to destroy virus-infected cells..

Increase Metabolism and Weight Loss

The heat will cause your body to raise its metabolic rate up to 20 percent, allowing the body to burn calories during and even continue to burn calories for a short time after a sauna session (according to Doctor of Physical Therapy, Tim Jackson).

Infrared sauna promises to help get rid of 400-600 calories in a one 30 minute session(according to Dr. Masakazu Imamura, MD study, published in the Journal of American College of Cardiology).

Improve Sleep and Reduce Stress

The stress response of the nervous system is reduced, creating healing effects such as relaxation, mood boost, and anxiety relief (Nishi Kyusyu University in Japan).

Normalize Blood Pressure

Infrared saunas have been shown to improve heart function, blood pressure and cholesterol levels (University of British Columbia).

Detoxification and Pain Relief

It is a well-known fact that sweating is your body’s way of cooling down a releasing toxins from the body. Heat is a natural remedy for pain reduction in sore muscles and joints (Saxion Univerity).

Frequently Asked Questions.

Infrared heat is very gentle. The experience is similar to lying in the sun on a warm day. Unlike traditional saunas, (hot rock or steam) which operate at well in excess of 200°F. Infrared heat, has the benefit of being effective at a more comfortable operating temperature of 100°-150°F.

The temperatures reached in traditional saunas are extremely high and it is recommended that the session be no longer that 15 minutes.

Infrared heat can significantly benefit the sore, damaged, and tired muscles of an athlete. The heat penetrates the muscles and tissues, increasing blood circulation, and assist muscle repair. Infrared heat will also help reduce lactic acids, allowing tight and worn-out muscles to relax.

It can also help alleviate arthritis, asthma, physical and mental fatigue, and help the body flush out toxins.

The Infrared Sauna is very safe. Our infrared heating technology does not include any harmful UV rays. Our sauna has the lowest (EMF) electric and magnetic fields, and (ELF) extremely low frequency available on the market, bar none.

There are cases where we advise against using the sauna. Since the infrared sauna promotes the body’s detoxification properties, it cannot be used during pregnancy or with people undergoing chemotherapy.

Detoxification during pregnancy or for those undergoing chemotherapy is not advised.

Anyone in frail condition should start slowly with only 15 minutes, or less, spent in the sauna.

If you are under the care of a physician for a serious medical condition, you should consult with your doctor before using the sauna.

We offer 20-minute and 40-minute sessions. If it is your first time, we recommend starting with a 20-minute session and working your way up.

Your sweating and detoxification continues after you get out of the sauna for about 30 to 60-minutes afterwards, so it is not recommended that you shower right afterwards as it will shorten the benefits of the detoxification
process.

You can wear a bathing suit or a towel. You will be in a private room.

The ability to maintain core body temperature decreases with age. This is primarily due to circulatory conditions and decreased sweat gland function.

The body must be able to activate its natural cooling processes in order to maintain core body temperature.

The elderly should not use for more than 15 minutes at a time and operate at a lower temperature.

Infrared Saunas are safe to use every day. On average, people partake in 20-40 minute sessions, 1-4 times a week.

Most people begin to break a sweat after 15 minutes.

The frequency and length of your sessions should depend on your wellness goals.
